Camping OUT!!!

One final image of the incrediable sky
we witnesses after we set up camp in
the Natural Bridges Area of Utah. It was
a long drive out but worth it.

Tulip Composite

Compositing a pool of frozen
water on rock with the flower
image.

Rock and Roll

The entire background of this
image came from a rock wall
in Utah. I love the way the
shadow on the wall leads your
eye to the subject.

Telling a Story

So much of what we try to do
as photographers is to tell a
story and really communicate
an emotion. In this image I
again used the rock shapes
to mimic the movement of the
subjects arms rising.

Layering Images

My favorite part of photoshop is taking
the abstract images and layering them
with other images. You can see the rock
textures on the subject's face.

Sculptured Rock Scenery

The sheer size of the formations
is breathtaking. My joy is in
photographing abstract images.

Balanced Rocks

Cole inspired and goofy!

Cole is Crazy

Cole finds new ways to amuse us!

Get Lost!

It is very possible to get lost in
the Fiery Furnace. Tim is a great
guide, but occasionally it is scarier
and steeper than I like!

Fiery Furnace

We spent a couple of days hiking in a
unusual labyrinth in Arches National Park.

Scenic Spectacles

We're Back!
Utah can be very hot in May,
we lucked out and had great weather.

The most enjoyable part of my work is photographing
musicians. I have been doing work for Stephen Marq
on and off for the last six years. Our saturday session

South Dakota All-State Jazz Festival

Saturday was very exciting! We took in the All-State Jazz Band in Aberdeen.
My son, Cole performed on piano with the Chris Vadala Band.
One of my seniors, Tyler Pridey performed with Pat Harbison.
I captured Tyler's amazing solo performance!
